Industry Accomplishments/Proudest Achievements: We turned a back-of-an-envelope idea into an award-winning product in two years. We have worked extraordinary hours to connect design and engineering specialists spread across the world, to weave all the threads together with endless fine-tuning, rethinking, reimagining. In three years we have become a serious contender in the personal health space, rapidly achieving FDA approval, winning multiple awards in various categories, filing many patents. Three years, three products: QardioArm, QardioBase and QardioCore. We were two industry outsiders who dared to dream, and then held our nerve. If nothing else, I’m proud simply of that.

Awards: QardioCore, the first truly personal EKG/ECG monitor, is the winner of 2015 International CES Innovation Awards in two categories, and both QardioCore and QardioArm are  of the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design.

What I Like Least About My Job: There are only 24 hours in a day to get it done.

Last Book I Read: Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth by Chris Hadfield

Favorite Movie: Iron Man – nothing beats a movie starring a superhero with a heart condition – and cool hardware to go with it.

Who Are My Heroes: My wife and children – keeping the balance and priorities in place.
