QardioBase receives the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016

San Francisco, CA, March 31, 2016 Qardio’s QardioBase was awarded with the Red Dot, the international distinction for high design quality.

This is the second award for the revolutionary QardioBase, which have already earned the preeminent CES 2016 Innovation Award earlier this year, and Qardio’s third RedDot Award in as many years. Now all Qardio products are proud recipients of the well recognized international recognition for their outstanding designs.

“Combining exceptional design with functionality and great user experience has always been our top priority.” said Rosario Iannella, Chief Technology Officer at Qardio, Inc.

Participants from 57 nations had registered close to 5,200 products and innovations for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016. Only products which set themselves apart considerably through their excellent design receive the sought-after quality seal from the international Red Dot jury comprised of 41 expects from around the world.  “With their performances, the Red Dot winners not only demonstrated an extraordinary design quality, but they also showed that design is an integral part of innovative product solutions.” said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and president of the Red Dot Award.

QardioBase wireless scale and body composition analyzer combines intelligent features and minimalist, elegant design to empower users with an in-depth knowledge of what the numbers on the scale really mean. More than just the standard scale, QardioBase measures weight, body mass index (BMI), muscle mass, body fat percentage and water and bone composition, while automatically syncing data to iOS and Android devices through the Qardio App.

Some unique features include Pregnancy Mode for expectant moms to track progress throughout pregnancy and Smart Feedback Mode allowing users to swap numbers with smileys for a more encouraging, human way to reach their long term goals.
