Heart healthy breakfast pudding parfait

Here is a really easy to make ‘Breakfast Pudding Parfait’ from dietician Mariana Dineen from Pretty Nutritious, which doesn’t require too many ingredients to give you heart a healthy boost.  Let us know what you think on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Breakfast Pudding Parfait

Low fat plain Greek yogurt provides a healthy dose of protein, which is important for satiety and appetite regulation, which in turn may be beneficial for weight control and cardiovascular risk factors. Yogurt is also high in B vitamins, especially vitamin B12, a vitamin important for heart health.

Ingredients
Low fat plain Greek yogurt
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 cup blueberries

Directions

1. Add the low fat plain Greek yogurt, chia seeds and blueberries to your bowl.
2. Top with peanut butter and maple syrup.
3. Best served chilled – allow pudding to sit in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.

Get creative and change it up with different toppings and layer as you please.
